Activities We Have Carried Out
➤ Ticket 2 Open Science
The Ticket 2 Open Science was a special training for PhD students, which covered key aspects of Open Science, including its principles, tools, and ethical considerations. Participants learned about open access publishing, FAIR data, citizen science, and responsible research assessment, with practical assignments and discussions to help integrate these practices into their own research. The training provided hands-on experience and insights into making research more open, collaborative, and reproducible.


➤ Workshop Focus on Open Science
The Workshop Focus on Open Science was a training activity that covered three key pillars of Open Science: FAIR research data, research assessment, and citizen science. It also included a panel discussion on the challenges of Open Science and its implementation in universities. Organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Scientific Policy, the event provided a transversal training credit for doctoral students.
➤ Winning Horizon2020 with Open Science
Winning Horizon 2020 with Open Science was a seminar organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Strategy and Digital Education, in collaboration with the FOSTER project. It was aimed at UC3M doctoral students and focused on Open Science practices in the new research landscape within the Horizon 2020 funding program

➤ THOR Bootcamp
The Thor Bootcamp supported UC3M doctoral students and researchers in publishing their research data for maximum impact. It covered topics like where to publish data, how to ensure proper citation, and how to use persistent identifiers (ORCID, DOI) to track and enhance research visibility, in line with increasing open publication requirements from organizations like the European Commission (H2020).
